Orono Public Works Facility Tour

I want to extend my sincere thanks to the City of Orono staff for hosting a tour of the new Public Works building. It was a fantastic turnout, with an estimated 40–50 community members in attendance, each eager to see firsthand the facility that has generated so much interest.

It was encouraging to see residents actively engaged with how their tax dollars are being put to use. This project reflects the City Council’s responsibility to make thoughtful, strategic investments in our city’s infrastructure, guided by community input every step of the way.

As a City Councilmember, I am particularly interested in exploring how this expansive space might be utilized even further. There may be opportunities to introduce additional uses that serve the community and generate revenue for the city.

Thank you again to all who attended and to those who made the event possible!
